What we do

One stop for research, reviews & the right next step

Buying a caravan or holiday home is a big decision. We make the research honest and the purchase easier — and we never hide the costs.

Lodges

Not a caravan person? Lodge parks are a different animal

Bigger rooms, vaulted ceilings, proper log burners — and often a longer season than a static caravan park. Lodge ownership costs more to get into, but for many buyers it’s the sweet spot between a caravan and a cottage.

Regional guides

Where should you buy?

Start with the region that suits your family — then shortlist the parks worth a viewing.

Before you buy

A holiday home is a lifestyle purchase, not a golden investment

That’s the honest starting point. Static caravans depreciate, site fees rise, and you’ll never “make your money back” the way you might with bricks and mortar. Buy for the weekends, the summers and the family time — and the money makes sense when you do.

  • 1

Know the real numbers: site fees, rates, utilities, insurance and maintenance — not just the sticker price.

  • 2

Know the park rules: how long you can stay, subletting, resale and what happens if the park changes hands.

  • 3

Know the exit: depreciation is real — understand what you’ll realistically recover when you sell.

From the editor

A quick word before you get lost in brochures

We started this site because buying a caravan or holiday home felt like being sold to from every direction — and nobody was answering the awkward questions. So we decided to ask them ourselves, on your behalf.

One thing you’ll never see here: a made-up score or a fake five-star rating. Parks are too different, and families are too different, for that to be honest. Instead we tell you what to look for, what to ask, and what to watch out for — then let you be the judge.

Buy the caravan for the weekends and the summer — not for the investment return. Believe us, that’s the advice that saves people the most money. Good luck with the search.
